CureFest for Childhood Cancer

Yup, I was overshadowed by a ten-year-old yesterday morning. And I couldn’t be happier about it.

I met the sweetest young girl, Meghan, in the green room at Good Morning Washington yesterday morning. She’s a cancer survivor who spent more than two years battling a rare form of leukemia—and won! CureFest unites survivors and families to fight childhood cancer

She was there to talk about CureFest and the fight against childhood cancer. What an incredibly brave and inspiring little girl.

My niece, Allison, was not so lucky. She passed at age 3 from brain cancer - a cancer that is now treatable and beatable! Great strides have been made but there is more work to do!

This one might make you cry. It certainly got me.  @abc7gmw @curefestusa
