Felix and the Magic Sea
Felix and the Magic Sea is the story of a five-year-old boy who lives with his mother by the ocean—laughing, imagining, and discovering the wonders of the seashore together.
But one day, everything changes.
A powerful wave pulls Felix into the sea, transforming him into a baby shark and carrying him into a world far beyond his mother’s reach. Though she fears the bigger sharks that surround him, Felix finds his way back to her each morning, meeting her just beyond the waves—a quiet, magical reassurance that he is still there.
Until one morning… he doesn’t return.
Through passing seasons and years, his mother remains by the sea, holding onto hope even as her fears deepen. She waits, watching the horizon, never giving up on the child she loves.
And then one day, a soft knock at her window breaks the silence.
Could it be Felix?
A tender, lyrical story about love, change, and the unbreakable bond between parent and child, Felix and the Magic Sea explores the beauty and heartbreak of letting go—and the quiet truth that love endures, even across time, distance, and the sea.

Coming Fall 2026!

I recently came across Felix and the Magic Sea, and the concept immediately stood out. A simple moment—a walk along the beach—turning into something magical is exactly the kind of storytelling that captures a child’s imagination from the very first page.
The blend of adventure, wonder, and the strong bond between parent and child gives the story both heart and excitement. Stories like this, where an ordinary moment becomes extraordinary, tend to resonate deeply with young readers and the families who read with them.
What makes Felix and the Magic Sea especially appealing is that sense of curiosity it creates. Inviting children to wonder what Felix will discover draws them into the story and keeps them engaged, while also encouraging imagination and emotional connection.

"I also appreciate you sharing details about your upcoming book, The Boy and the Sea [now, Felix and the Magic Sea]. The concept is wonderfully lyrical, and the image of a boy returning daily to visit his mother by the sea is both tender and memorable. I look forward to following its journey."

"Felix and the Magic Sea immediately caught my attention. The image of a child who becomes something wild yet still returns faithfully to his mother feels timeless, almost folkloric. Those are the kinds of stories that tend to linger with readers long after the final page."

Felix and the Magic Sea "demonstrates a rare talent for capturing the magic of childhood and the depth of love that resonates with young readers. The warmth, creativity, and emotional connection you build in your stories are exactly the qualities that families and children look for."
