One 90-Minute Class Changed My Life

Miriam Laundry probably doesn’t even know who I am.

But she changed my life.

One day, her name popped up in my Facebook feed: “Free 90-minute class with Miriam Laundry.”

Her pitch?

“I help aspiring children's book authors fulfill their dream of becoming published authors.”

And then she asked the exact right questions:

“Are you thinking of writing a children’s book?” 

✔️ Yes.

“Are you stuck?” 

✔️ Definitely.

“Do you need an illustrator?” 

✔️ 100%!

So I signed up. For the class, the newsletter—everything. And I’m so glad I did.

 One line changed everything:

“You don’t have to know an illustrator—you can use a service like Art-Advocates.”

Wait… what? I didn’t have to wait for one of my kids to grow up and become an artist? I could just hire someone?

Brilliant.

That’s how I found Natalie, the illustrator currently bringing Santa Skips Christmas!?! to life.

She just finished the first round of sketches—and now she’s moving on to final drawings. I can’t wait to see where this story goes.
